Job summary

GPW in Pretoria is seeking a Senior Financial Manager (SMS level) to provide strategic leadership across budgeting, costing, and management accounting. You will drive modernisation of financial systems and oversee planning, financial modelling, and governance in line with PFMA and statutory requirements.

You will lead revenue management, accounts payable/receivable, and reporting, while guiding senior stakeholders. A CA or NQF8 degree with extensive public sector experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years proven experience in financial environment at a Senior Management Service level.
• CA qualification will be an added advantage.
• A Grade 12 plus an NQF8 degree in Finance/Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in budgeting, costing and management accounting services.
• Lead modernisation and digital transformation of the branch.
• Oversee budgeting processes: annual budget, MTEF and adjustments.
• Oversee financial modelling and profitability/sustainability improvements.
• Oversee treasury functions including revenue management, payments and financial statements.
