Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a luxury hotel in Franschhoek. This senior role oversees all maintenance across the property, ensuring safety, full operation and premium presentation at all times.

You will lead the Maintenance and Farm teams, manage contractors and implement preventative maintenance programmes, with regular project updates to senior management and strict budget control.

Qualifications

• Matric with a mechanical or electrical trade qualification.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar maintenance environment, with at least 3 years in management.
• Experience in luxury hotel, lodge or high-end hospitality is highly advantageous.
• Strong budgeting, cost-control and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hotel maintenance operations.
• Plan and monitor preventative maintenance programmes throughout the year.
• Manage maintenance and farm teams, contractors and suppliers.
• Maintain detailed servicing records and manage budgets.
• Ensure fire, health and safety procedures are followed.
