Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Fitter to join our industrial maintenance team in Klerksdorp. You will install, inspect, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems, with a focus on preventing downtime and ensuring production continuity.

You will read engineering drawings, fabricate and fit replacement parts, and use workshop tools and precision instruments. A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting and experience with hydraulics and conveyors are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced as a Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Fitter.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and failures in a timely and efficient manner.
• Install, dismantle, and assemble new or modified mechanical components and systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Fabricate and fit replacement parts as required, using workshop tools and equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
