Placements24 is seeking an experienced Logistics Planner III in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA. This hybrid role balances on-site and remote responsibilities as you design and manage efficient logistics plans, optimize routes, and control costs to support the supply chain objectives.

The role requires 5–7 years in logistics planning, strong analytics, and proven carrier negotiation skills, with collaboration across warehouse, procurement, and sales teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–7 years of logistics planning and transportation management experience.
• Proven carrier negotiation and relationship management.
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills (Excel).
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Experience in a hybrid on-site/remote role and knowledge of transport regulations.
• Proven track record of process improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute comprehensive logistics plans for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Analyze transportation data to identify cost reductions and service improvements.
• Manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and ensure contract compliance.
• Track shipments and provide proactive updates to internal teams and customers.
• Resolve disruptions and implement contingency plans as needed.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and sales to align logistics with business needs.
• Generate reports on logistics performance, costs, delivery times, and carrier efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the logistics network.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
