Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic Logistics Planner and Analyst to optimize the supply chain, analyze logistics data, and develop plans to reduce costs in Port Elizabeth. You’ll forecast demand, plan transportation routes, and work closely with multiple departments.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in logistics planning/analysis, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with data tools and TMS. A hybrid work model and health benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Experience with data analysis tools and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Experience with logistics planning software or TMS is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Analyze logistics data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
Develop and implement logistics plans, including routing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement to align logistics with business objectives.
Monitor KPIs and prepare regular logistics performance reports.
Research and recommend new technologies or strategies to enhance supply chain operations.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and ensure SLAs are met.
