Job summary

Boxer Superstores is seeking an experienced HOD: Logistics to lead our supply chain operations in KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee warehousing, distribution, transport planning, and cost control across the Distribution Centre network.

Reporting to the GM: Logistics, the role focuses on KPI delivery, efficiency improvements, and audit compliance, with extensive travel across sites as required.

Qualifications

• Requires a 3-year degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in logistics with 10–15 years in logistics leadership.
• Previous warehouse/ DC management experience essential.
• Experience with WMS, TMS, demand planning systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Distribution Centre performance and drive KPI achievement.
• Manage transport rates, routing, and vehicle utilisation to meet cost targets.
• Control warehouse running costs and ensure budget adherence.
• Drive shrinkage and damages control to target levels (0.2%).
• Ensure OHS and business audit compliance across DCs.
