Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Logistics Analyst to join a distributed team supporting operations in the Richards Bay region. The role is fully remote and focused on analyzing and optimizing logistics processes from anywhere, delivering data-driven insights that improve efficiency and reduce costs.

You will develop dashboards, explore transportation options and collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvements while maintaining strong communication and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or related field.
• Proven experience as a Logistics Analyst or similar analytical role with data interpretation focus.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL and BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain.
• Develop and implement performance metrics and dashboards to monitor key logistics operations.
• Research transportation modes, carriers and industry best practices to recommend optimal solutions.
• Support the development and refinement of logistics strategies and operational plans.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather data and implement improvements.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on logistics performance and recommendations.
