Job summary

Rory Mackie & Associates seeks a Sales & Marketing Director to drive growth in the retirement living sector in Cape Town. You will lead sales, marketing, branding and customer engagement strategies, aiming for occupancy targets across independent living, assisted living and care offerings, while building a trusted brand locally.

You will leverage digital marketing and social media to generate high-quality leads, educate families, and position the organisation as a market leader.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in sales and marketing leadership.
• Proven success managing digital marketing campaigns and social media platforms.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• Strong analytical ability with experience interpreting marketing data
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Experience within hospitality, retirement living, property development, or lifestyle communities will be highly advantageous

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual sales strategies to hit occupancy and revenue targets.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team.
• Optimise sales processes from enquiry to occupation.
• Manage CRM-driven pipeline and report performance.
• Foster referrals with healthcare providers, advisers and communities.
• Analyse market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop and execute marketing strategy with Fedgroup teams.
• Strengthen brand awareness and market positioning.
• Oversee traditional and digital campaigns and budget ROI.
• Coordinate photography, videography, brochures, and website content.
• Lead digital engagement, social media and online reputation management.
• Create engaging content (videos, resident stories, articles, lifestyle features).
• Design the resident journey with senior leadership and ops teams.
• Build partnerships and represent the organisation at events.
• Track KPIs including occupancy, leads, ROI and online metrics.
