Job summary

Accso is seeking a senior Java software engineer to design, develop, and mentor teams in AI-enhanced development workflows. You will deliver enterprise Java applications using agentic methods and help build environments for AI collaboration on diverse client projects.

You will review AI-generated code, apply modern cloud, DevOps, and testing practices, and contribute to methodology development while engaging with clients in a consulting context.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Java ecosystem and Spring
• Experience architecting microservices, event-driven systems, DDD, CQRS
• Hands-on with cloud platforms, containerization, and DevOps practices
• Experience in consulting or client-facing technical roles

Job description

What to expect

• Work in consulting and software development projects for well-known large German customers such as AXA, BMW, Deutsche Bahn, and ZDF
• Design, develop, and implement software solutions by applying AI methods and tools throughout the software development process (e.g., LLMs, agent-based frameworks, code generation, and test automation)
• Build enterprise Java applications using agentic methods
• Develop environments for projects: rule files, context documentation, MCP server configurations, and scaffolding that optimises AI collaboration
• Review and validate AI-generated code with a critical eye—understanding failure modes, common hallucinations, and quality indicators
• Mentor team members in transitioning from traditional to agentic development workflows
• Contribute to methodology development

Your profile

• Strong experience (8+ years) with Java ecosystem including Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data (or Quarkus/Micronaut)
• You’ve rebuilt your entire development workflow around AI agents and see massive productivity gains
• You understand the difference between using Copilot for autocomplete vs. Claude Code for agentic feature development
• Solid understanding of modern software architecture: microservices, event-driven systems, DDD, CQRS
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, containerization and DevOps practices
• Proficiency in API design, comprehensive testing strategies, and build tools
• Familiarity in databases, messaging systems
• You’re comfortable in consulting or client-facing technical roles
