Job summary

Accso is a digital partner for sophisticated custom software solutions with an AI-native mindset. We work on challenging projects for large German and South African clients, designing and building robust backend services using Java, Spring, Kotlin, and modern tooling.

You will contribute to code reviews, performance tuning, and CI/CD practices in a collaborative, high-tech environment. We value proactive, pragmatic, team-oriented engineers with a degree in computer science and at least 5 years

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science or comparable discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with the listed technologies.
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum or Design Thinking.

Responsibilities

• Solve challenging software engineering problems across diverse projects for German and South African clients.
• Design, develop and implement robust software solutions using AI-native development methods.
• Build backend services, REST APIs, and integration layers with OO design patterns.
• Contribute to code reviews, performance tuning and CI/CD practices.
• Deliver well-tested, readable code meeting internal and customer standards.

Job description

What to expect:

• You solve challenging software engineering problems in a wide variety of projects for well-known, large German and South African clients.

• You design, develop and implement robust software solutions by applying AI agent- based development methods and tools throughout the software development process.

• You design and build backend services, REST APIs and integration layers, applying object-oriented design principles and established design patterns.

• You work across all disciplines of software engineering.

• You write well-designed, testable, efficient and readable code that meets both internal and customer standards, and you deliver software that is thoroughly tested and debugged.

• You contribute to code reviews, performance tuning and CI/CD practices, and help raise the team’s engineering standards.

• You use well-known technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Spring, Kotlin, Maven, Gradle, JUnit, etc.

Your profile:

• You have successfully completed a university degree in computer science or a comparable discipline.

• You have at least 5 years of experience in professional software development, including hands‑on experience with the technologies listed above.

• You enjoy working with agile methods such as Scrum or Design Thinking.

• You are proactive, pragmatic and team‑oriented, with strong collaboration and communication skills and a drive for continual improvement.
