Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing or related field; CA(SA) or CIA preferred.
• 4+ years of external or internal audit experience in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of auditing principles, internal controls and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with IFRS and regulatory requirements for banks and financial institutions.
• Proficiency in audit software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and supervise financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with audit methodologies and standards.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems for clients across the financial services industry.
• Identify audit risks and develop appropriate audit procedures to address them.
• Perform detailed testing of financial transactions, account balances, and operational processes.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients' management and audit committees.
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports, documenting work performed and conclusions reached.
• Mentor and train junior audit staff, providing guidance and feedback.
• Stay updated on auditing standards, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
