Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Insurance Product Manager to lead the full product lifecycle—from ideation to launch—while working remotely to support Stellenbosch initiatives. You will own the roadmap, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive market-aligned enhancements in the insurance domain.

The role requires 7+ years in product management within insurance, strong leadership, and expertise in Agile/Scrum to deliver impactful products remotely across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field; MBA is a plus.
• 7+ years of product management experience, with significant insurance industry exposure.
• Proven success in launching and managing complex insurance products.
• Strong understanding of product management methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on market analysis and business objectives.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify product opportunities.
• Translate strategy into detailed requirements for engineering and design teams.
• Manage product development from conception through launch and optimization.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, underwriting, and claims for go-to-market success.
• Analyze product performance metrics and iterate for continuous improvement.
