Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join its industrial automation team in Benoni. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems to ensure safe and efficient operation of complex manufacturing and energy processes in Gauteng.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering.
- Proficiency with major PLC platforms (Siemens, Rockwell) and DCS systems.
- Strong understanding of process control theory, instrumentation, and automation technologies.
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting industrial networks and communication protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in an industrial environment in Benoni and contribute to team success.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Select and calibrate appropriate instrumentation for various process applications.
- Develop and troubleshoot control strategies, logic, and algorithms to optimize process performance and ensure stability.
- Perform loop tuning and calibration to ensure accurate process control and data acquisition.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot system issues and implement upgrades.
- Ensure all control systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements in the Gauteng region.
