Placements24 is seeking an Instrumentation and Control Engineer in Soweto to design, install, and maintain systems ensuring safe, efficient operations. The role focuses on optimizing processes, troubleshooting, and supporting critical facilities.

You will work with PLC, DCS, and HMI platforms, handle field instrumentation and safety requirements, and contribute to documentation like P&IDs and loop drawings. A strong engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, and HMI platforms.
• Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and SIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
• Develop and maintain PLC, DCS, and HMI programming.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards for instrumentation and control.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize performance.
• Create P&IDs and wiring diagrams documentation.
