Job summary

Humankind Group is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to lead end-to-end server infrastructure planning and delivery. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, infrastructure teams and project managers to ensure readiness across physical, virtual and cloud environments.

The role requires 10–15 years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience, strong CMDB governance and hands-on expertise with VMware, Windows/Linux servers and hybrid cloud (Azure/AWS).

Qualifications

• 10–15 years' experience in enterprise IT infrastructure environments.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in complex project or service delivery environments.
• Experience managing server infrastructure across enterprise environments.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience with VMware or similar virtualization platforms.
• Working knowledge of ITSM tools (BMC Remedy, ServiceNow or Jira).
• Strong understanding of CMDB and IT governance.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to assess, prioritise and plan infrastructure requirements.
• Translate business demand into scalable infrastructure delivery plans.
• Oversee server build readiness, migrations and deployments.

• Monitor delivery against SLAs and KPIs.
• Drive ITIL practices across Incident, Change, Problem and Release Management.
• Produce reports on infrastructure demand, capacity, risks and performance.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation and continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end server infrastructure demand, ensuring requests are effectively planned, prioritised and delivered in line with business objectives, service levels and governance standards. • Grade 12
• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
