Shape the backbone of enterprise technology in a complex, high-performance environment. Lead infrastructure strategy and delivery across multiple platforms and data centres.
This role is responsible for defining, designing, and delivering scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions across a large enterprise landscape. You will take ownership of infrastructure architecture from concept through to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives, service levels, and long-term IT strategy.
Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, Service Delivery, and Project teams, you will guide infrastructure standards, capacity planning, and technology roadmaps. You will also play a key role in modernisation initiatives, including cloud migration and infrastructure automation, while maintaining governance across design quality, performance, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do
- Define and implement infrastructure strategy, standards, and roadmaps
- Lead end-to-end infrastructure solution design from POC to implementation
- Drive scalable, high-performance infrastructure across multiple data centres
- Oversee capacity planning, monitoring, and performance optimisation
- Guide technology selection, refresh cycles, and investment planning
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, governance, and business objectives
- Support cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure strategies
- Collaborate with architecture, project, and service delivery teams
- Provide technical leadership in resolving major incidents and service issues
What You Bring
- 6–8+ years in a senior infrastructure or technical architecture role
- Proven experience designing and managing complex, enterprise-scale infrastructure
- Strong cross-domain expertise across servers, networks, storage, and databases
- Deep knowledge of infrastructure automation, orchestration, and configuration tools
- Experience with virtualisation, SAN, Wintel and Unix environments
- Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, WiFi, and VoIP network design
- Exposure to SQL and Oracle database technologies
- Knowledge of authentication technologies including SSO and federation
- Familiarity with SDLC, security, and risk mitigation frameworks
- Exposure to ITIL and/or TOGAF principles
