Job summary

Adams & Adams in Pretoria is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own the design, implementation, administration, security, and continuous improvement of a complex enterprise infrastructure environment. The successful candidate will manage Microsoft technologies including 365 and Azure, Active Directory/Entra ID, Exchange Online, and related services, plus network, storage, DR, and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of ICT infrastructure planning, design, and support.
• Microsoft infrastructure certification or equivalent.
• At least 5 years in a Microsoft systems administration environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, manage and optimise enterprise infrastructure across on‑premises, hybrid and cloud environments.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, AD, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and related technologies.
• Manage network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, wireless, VPNs and telecom services.
• Oversee server, storage, virtualization, backup and disaster recovery environments.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure security, governance, compliance and risk controls.
• Provide advanced Level 2/3 infrastructure support and troubleshooting.
• Lead infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage service providers and ensure SLA and contractual compliance.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the team.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of the design, implementation, administration, security, and continuous improvement of a complex enterprise infrastructure environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, scalability, and resilience of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure services. This role requires a highly skilled professional with expertise across Microsoft technologies, networking, virtualisation, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and enterprise infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, manage, and optimise enterprise infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and related technologies.
