Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Project Manager to lead critical IT infrastructure initiatives. This fully remote role focuses on network upgrades, data center modernization, and cloud integrations, with collaboration across engineering, operations, and security teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, 8+ years in IT project management for infrastructure, and a proven ability to lead remote teams and manage risks in a virtual environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of IT project management with infrastructure focus (networks, servers, data centers, cloud).
• Proven track record delivering complex tech projects on time and within budget.
• Experience managing remote technical teams and distributed resources.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity principles.
• Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Asana).
• PMP, Prince2, or ITIL certification desirable.
• Ability to translate requirements into actionable plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of infrastructure projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans: scope, objectives, timelines, resources, budgets.
• Manage cross-functional teams and ensure clear remote communication.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies.
• Ensure adherence to security standards and IT policies.
• Provide stakeholders with status updates and governance reports.
• Oversee vendor selection and procurement for infra-related services.
• Promote agile practices where suitable for infra projects.
