Job Description:
As the Senior Network & Systems Administrator, the successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, security, optimisation, and performance of network and server infrastructure across multiple business operations. The role focuses on ensuring maximum uptime, maintaining secure hybrid environments, and providing expert-level support for complex technical issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity
- Monitoring network performance and proactively resolving infrastructure issues
- Configuring and supporting routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, access points, and firewalls
- Managing Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments
- Supporting hybrid connectivity between on-premise infrastructure and cloud services
- Implementing and maintaining network security controls and secure remote access solutions
- Managing Windows Server environments and virtualised infrastructure
- Overseeing backups, disaster recovery readiness, business continuity initiatives, and system optimisation
- Leading infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and improvement projects
- Working closely with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders
- Providing guidance and technical support to junior IT team members
