Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to oversee enterprise IT systems, including servers, storage, networks, and security. The role requires deep expertise in Linux, virtualization, and cloud environments, with a focus on reliability and disaster recovery.

You will lead design, audits, and optimization, coordinate cross-team efforts, and mentor junior staff in a dynamic data center setting. Experience with RHCE, MCSE, and vendor certifications is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• VMware vSphere and Veeam certifications are required.
• HPE or Dell hardware certification is preferred.
• Microsoft MCSE certification is desirable.
• Minimum 5+ years of related infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve existing systems for efficiency and reliability.
• Design diagrams and models to guide development teams.
• Conduct server and security audits and disaster recovery testing.
• Integrate servers, databases, mail, and backup into enterprise systems.
• Ensure connectivity and interoperability of in-house IT systems.
• Create and maintain configuration and process documentation.
• Coordinate tests and validate new/modified systems.
• Monitor performance and produce system performance reports.
• Provide user training for new systems.
• Maintain service-oriented IT operations and meet SLA targets.
• Protect IT assets and ensure data security per policies.
• Lead infrastructure strategy and implement technical improvements.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver reliable software and services.
• Provide on-site or remote diagnostics and issue resolutions.
• Lead and mentor IT staff and maintain documentation of work.
