About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives within a fully remote structure. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives on building and maintaining robust security programs, driving strategic initiatives, and mentoring a talented team. You will be responsible for the overall information security strategy, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our client's data and systems. This position involves overseeing security operations, risk management, compliance, incident response, and security architecture. The candidate must possess exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage complex security programs in a distributed environment. As a remote-first leader, you will foster a culture of security awareness and excellence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the overall information security strategy and roadmap.


• Lead, mentor, and manage the Information Security team, fostering a high-performance culture.


• Oversee security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection.


• Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organisation.


• Manage comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.


• Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.


• Drive security awareness and training programs to embed a security-first mindset.


• Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.


• Champion security architecture initiatives and ensure secure system design.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.


• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.


• Extensive experience in developing and executing enterprise-wide information security programs.


• Deep expertise in cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF), risk management, incident response, and compliance.


• Strong understanding of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure), application security, and data privacy.


• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organisation.


• Renowned industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and potentially CISA or CRISC are mandatory.


• Proven success in managing teams and initiatives in a fully remote setting.
