Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Auditor to join a fully remote team. You will conduct in-depth audits, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements to strengthen the security posture, working independently to ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in information security auditing or IT compliance, with strong knowledge of COBIT, ISO 27001, and NIST, and holds or seeks relevant certifications such as CISA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security auditing or IT compliance.
• Strong knowledge of IT audit methodologies and frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Experience with risk assessment and control testing.
• Proficiency in using audit management software and tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute information security audits across various IT systems and processes.
• Assess compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Identify security risks and control weaknesses, documenting findings clearly and concisely.
• Develop actionable recommendations for remediation and track their implementation.
• Review security architecture and infrastructure to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Prepare audit reports for management and relevant stakeholders.
