Placements24 is seeking an expert Industrial Engineer focused on Supply Chain Optimization to join their team in Paarl. The role centers on analyzing and improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience of supply chain operations from procurement to delivery.

The candidate will map current logistics, identify bottlenecks, and implement innovative solutions while collaborating with internal and external partners. Strong analytical skills and experience with ERP/WMS are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a specialization in supply chain and logistics.
Proven track record in supply chain optimization projects.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain modeling and simulation software.
Experience with ERP systems and WMS is advantageous.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize end-to-end supply chain processes, including inventory management, logistics, and warehousing.
Develop and implement Lean Six Sigma initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency within the supply chain.
Utilize data analytics and modeling tools to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and improve delivery performance.
Design and implement improved warehouse layouts and material flow strategies.
Collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to enhance resilience and reliability.
