Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer with a focus on supply chain optimization to join our Stellenbosch team in a hybrid role. You will analyze and improve end-to-end supply chain networks, including warehousing, transportation, and demand planning, to boost efficiency and service levels.

You will lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives, collaborate with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing, and design dashboards to monitor KPIs while driving cost reductions and performance

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on supply chain operations.
• Proven experience optimizing complex supply chain networks, including transportation and warehousing.
• Proficiency in supply chain planning software, WMS, TMS, and advanced analytical tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end supply chain operations, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and demand planning.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
• Utilize data analytics and modeling tools to forecast demand, identify risks, and improve network design.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, logistics, manufacturing) and external partners to ensure seamless supply chain performance.
• Design and implement performance metrics and dashboards to monitor key supply chain KPIs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function, Lean and Six Sigma.
