Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Cleaning Supervisor to manage sanitation operations at a busy manufacturing facility in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead a team of industrial cleaners, overseeing cleaning tasks, chemical handling, and waste management while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will implement cleaning schedules tailored to plant needs, inspect work areas for quality and hazards, and train staff on procedures and safety protocols.

Qualificações

• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial cleaning or sanitation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Thorough knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals, solvents, and equipment.
• Strong understanding of OSHA (or equivalent local) safety regulations and hazardous material handling.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of the industrial cleaning crew, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
• Develop and implement comprehensive cleaning schedules tailored to the manufacturing plant's operational needs in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
• Ensure all cleaning activities comply with workplace safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry-specific hygiene requirements.
• Manage the safe storage, handling, and use of industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess cleaning quality, identify hazards, and ensure all areas are maintained to standard.
• Train new cleaning staff on proper procedures, safety protocols, and the use of specialized equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, waste disposal, and safety inspections.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, placing orders as needed.
• Address and resolve any cleaning-related issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
• Promote a strong safety culture among the cleaning team.
