Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on process optimization and Lean/Six Sigma implementation.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools.
• Experience with CAD is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with on-site and remote duties.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for cost reduction and quality enhancement.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Design and optimize plant layouts and material flow to improve operational efficiency.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work times and improve productivity.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize simulation software to model and evaluate process changes before implementation.
• Support the implementation of new equipment and technologies, ensuring smooth integration into existing operations.
• Track and report on KPIs related to process efficiency, output, and cost.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to operational staff in Polokwane.
