Job summary

Cape Town International Convention Centre seeks a seasoned ICT professional to provide 3rd line support to CTICC IT Support Team, covering front/back office functions and overseeing ICT infrastructure.

The role includes ensuring system availability, administering on-premises and cloud environments (M365, Azure), and managing projects, governance, and external service providers with a strong emphasis on security and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Matric Certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
• Degree/Diploma in IT or related (NQF Level 6) would be advantageous
• Professional Certifications in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Azure and Hybrid Infrastructure, Server and Infrastructure Security, Networking, Virtualisation, Storage, Backup, BC/DR (e.g., Microsoft Certified, CCNA/CCNP, VMware, ITIL 4)

Responsibilities

• Ensure ICT systems availability from core to edge across LAN/WAN
• Provide admin for On-Premises and Cloud (M365, Azure AD, AD, backups, DR)
• Monitor and manage VMware, networks, firewalls and telephony
• Mentor staff and assist succession planning
• Oversee vendor contracts and services, including third parties
• Lead project coordination for infrastructure upgrades and events
• Ensure ITIL incident, problem and change processes are followed
• Maintain up-to-date network and system diagrams and documentation
