You will develop sanitation strategies, lead a team, conduct audits, manage budgets and ensure regulatory compliance in a hybrid work model with on-site supervision in Cape Town.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in hygiene management, sanitation or facilities management for large-scale operations.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing hygiene programs and policies.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and cleaning protocols.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Hygiene and Sanitation Manager to oversee and elevate hygiene standards within their prominent facilities in Cape Town, Western Cape, ZA. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures across all company facilities.

• Collaborate with other departments, including Operations, HR, and Maintenance, to integrate hygiene practices into daily operations.
• Source and evaluate new cleaning technologies and sustainable products to enhance efficiency and environmental impact.
• Develop and deliver training programs for all staff on hygiene protocols and best practices.
• Investigate and resolve any hygiene-related complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
• Prepare detailed reports on sanitation performance, audit findings, and recommendations for senior management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in hygiene management, sanitation, or facilities management, with a focus on large-scale operations.
• Proven track record of developing and successfully implementing comprehensive hygiene programs.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, food safety standards (if applicable), and cleaning protocols.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in budget management and vendor relations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of liaising with all levels of the organization.
• Experience with EHS software and reporting tools is advantageous.
• Relevant professional certifications in hygiene, sanitation, or facility management are highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote planning with on-site supervision in Cape Town, Western Cape, ZA.
