Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support the sales team with deep technical expertise in industrial automation. The role combines remote preparation with on-site client engagement to design solutions and present compelling demonstrations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, 7+ years in pre-sales, and excellent communication skills for presenting business value of complex technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years as a Sales Engineer or similar pre-sales role in automation.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales Representatives to understand customer requirements and identify opportunities for automation solutions.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Design and configure customized automation solutions based on client specifications.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to inform roadmaps.
• Create technical documentation, including proposals and system architecture diagrams.
• Stay current with industry trends and competitor offerings.
• Assist in post-sales activities such as implementation support and customer training.
