Qualifications

• Trade qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or related mechanical field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing large systems (boilers, chillers, control systems).
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles and airflow.

Responsibilities

This is a hands‑on role requiring deep expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide array of HVAC equipment, from large-scale chillers and boilers to complex control systems. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handling units, and ductwork.
• Install, maintain, and service a variety of HVAC equipment and associated components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

Requirements

• Relevant trade qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related mechanical field (e.g., NQF Level 4 or equivalent).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with significant experience in commercial and industrial settings.
• Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing large commercial HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, and complex control systems (e.g., BMS).
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, airflow principles, and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, pressure gauges, and other HVAC testing equipment.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional standby duties.
