Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in substation design for a fully remote role. Lead high voltage and medium voltage substations, oversee design from concept through construction, and ensure compliance with standards.

You will work with a remote team across the country, applying advanced software and collaborating with clients. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in substation design, strong protection and control knowledge, and proficiency in ETAP, DigSilent

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering with focus on substation design.
• Proficiency in ETAP, DigSilent PowerFactory, and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV substations and protection and control schemes.
• Experience with national/international electrical standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV/MV substation design from concept to construction support.
• Develop single line diagrams, schematics, equipment layouts, grounding and protection philosophies.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, and arc flash analyses with specialized software.
• Mentor junior engineers in a remote team and review deliverables.
