Job summary

CCS International South Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join our National EHS Department, based at our Head Office in Woodmead, Johannesburg. You will support, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental systems across telecom and energy projects.

The role requires 5+ years in HSE on infrastructure projects, SACPCMP CHSO (advantage) and NEBOSH/ SAMTRAC. Travel to regional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of active HSE experience on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Telecom and/or renewable energy project exposure preferred.
• Experience with high-risk activities (height work, electrical safety, excavation).
• Strong communication and stakeholder interface skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor EHS management systems and ISO standards (ISO 45001/14001).
• Prepare and verify EHS files, risk assessments and SWPs.
• Conduct site inspections, safety observations, and internal audits.
• Ensure subcontractor EHS compliance and incident investigations.
• Assist in safety training and toolbox talks for sites.
