Placements24 is seeking an experienced HSE Manager for our client’s Mahikeng operations in the North West. The role leads HSE policy development, training, audits, and incident investigations to ensure regulatory compliance and ongoing safety excellence.

You will drive environmental programs, budget management, and the implementation of ISO 14001/45001 standards while fostering a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in HSE management, preferably in Oil & Gas or heavy industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards applicable in South Africa.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and manage incident investigations.
• Proficiency in HSE reporting and data analysis.
• Ability to work on-site in Mahikeng, North West, and engage with all levels of the organization.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, SAMTRAC) are highly desirable.
