Job summary

Invision HR in Cape Town seeks a Senior HR Consultant to own the HR function for core SME client accounts. You will partner with business owners and managers while staying connected to employees at all levels in a hybrid setup with weekly client visits.

This hands-on role covers the full lifecycle: people matters, employee relations, HR operations, compliance and day-to-day execution, reporting to the Managing Director.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in an HR Generalist/HR Manager role.
• Experience across at least 2 different companies, demonstrating adaptability across industries.
• Boutique HR agency/consulting background handling multiple client accounts.
• Based in Cape Town (non-negotiable).
• Proficiency in English & Afrikaans (non-negotiable).
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Act as an embedded HR partner for core client accounts from home and on client sites.
• Own the full HR portfolio for each core client: compliance, contracts, policies, payroll, onboarding, inductions, job descriptions, probation and performance management, training, disciplinary matters, talent management, rewards and offboarding.
• Advise and challenge business owners and managers on HR best practice and organizational risk.
• Develop deep knowledge of each client’s business, culture and workforce to provide context-specific HR advice.
• Collaborate with the Industrial Psychologist on complex people and strategic issues.
• Be the trusted HR contact for management and staff and ensure issues are addressed and resolved.
• Hands-on execution with a focus on outcomes.
