Job summary

Bright Placements in Hamanskraal is seeking an experienced Griller to lead the grill station, preparing beef, poultry, fish and other grilled items in a fast-paced hotel or lodge setting.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, minimum 5 years in a hot kitchen, strong knowledge of meat cuts, temperatures and HACCP; live-out arrangement, five-day week, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Griller or hot kitchen role.
• Experience in 4- or 5-star hotel, lodge or restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook beef, poultry, fish and other grilled items to standard.
• Maintain correct methods, temperatures and portion sizes.
• Ensure hygiene, FIFO, and labelling of meat products.
• Manage mise en place, stock checks and assist with deliveries.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and kitchen team for smooth service.
