ACCIONA Energía in South Africa seeks a grid integration specialist to develop studies, review Eskom documents, and ensure energization and COD within project timelines.

The role requires BSc Electrical Engineering, PrEng preferred, and expertise in PowerFactory/PSCAD. Travel across SA and sub-Saharan Africa will be required, with a focus on grid code compliance and project feasibility.

Competenze

• Degree in electrical engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA preferred.
• Experience with grid connection and renewable energy projects in SA desirable.

Mansioni

• Develop technical specifications to calculate evacuation capacity and congestion.
• Review Eskom documentation and grid connection process materials.
• Analyze grid codes to identify risks and necessary updates for technology used.
• Lead and review grid studies (power flow, short-circuit) for SA projects.
• Coordinate with suppliers and OEMs on equipment to meet grid codes.
• Support energization and COD processes through simulations and reports.
