Placements24 is seeking a Senior Grant Writer and Development Manager for a prominent Stellenbosch-based non-profit. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Philanthropy, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven grant writing, fundraising, and development within the non-profit sector.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Demonstrated success in securing grant funding from diverse sources.
• Strong understanding of grant cycles, funding trends, and donor stewardship principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in grant research databases and CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
• Write, edit, and manage grant proposals, applications, and reports aligning with organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with grantors, foundations, and key donors.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including major gifts and campaigns.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather information for grant submissions.
• Track grant statuses, deadlines, and funding outcomes, ensuring compliance.
• Organize donor cultivation events and meetings, virtual and in-person in Stellenbosch.
• Analyze fundraising data and provide progress reports toward financial goals.
• Contribute to overall development and communications strategy.
