Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in geotechnical engineering consulting.
• PrEng registration with ECSA required.
• Experience with Plaxis, GeoStudio, WALLAP or similar.
• Strong soil/rock mechanics and foundation design knowledge.
• Experience leading geotechnical projects and teams.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Good communication and client interaction skills.
• Willingness to travel to Northern Cape sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance and sampling.
• Perform advanced geotechnical analysis: slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity.
• Design foundations, retaining structures, earthworks.
• Prepare reports, design recommendations, specs.
• Provide expert geotechnical advice to clients and project teams.
• Oversee site supervision during construction phases.
• Liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to tech development.
• Stay updated with geotechnical practices and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards.
