About the Role

Our client, a leading international energy company, is seeking an experienced Senior Geoscientist (Geophysicist) to join their highly skilled, fully remote subsurface team. This position is crucial for the interpretation of complex geological data and the identification of potential hydrocarbon resources. As a remote-first role, you will leverage cutting-edge seismic processing and interpretation software, collaborating virtually with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other geoscientists worldwide. Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced seismic data processing, quality control, and interpretation for exploration and development projects.
• Integrate seismic data with well logs, core data, and other geological information to build robust subsurface models.
• Identify and evaluate potential hydrocarbon prospects and provide quantitative risk assessments.
• Contribute to field development planning by providing detailed geophysical interpretations and insights.
• Utilize state-of-the‑art geophysical software and tools for data analysis and interpretation.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a remote environment to achieve project objectives.
• Mentor junior geoscientists and share expertise within the team.
• Stay current with geophysical technologies and methodologies, recommending their adoption where appropriate.
• Prepare and present technical findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Geophysics, Geoscience, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in geophysical exploration and interpretation within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, GeoGraphix, HampsonRussell).
• Strong understanding of seismic data processing techniques and attributes analysis.
• Experience with amplitude variation with offset (AVO) analysis and other advanced geophysical methods.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Experience with basin analysis and play fairway mapping is a plus.
