Placements24 on behalf of a leading catering and hospitality client in Paarl, Western Cape, seeks a meticulous Specialized Cleaning Technician (Food Service) to uphold top hygiene in kitchens and food prep areas.

You will perform deep cleaning, HACCP-compliant sanitation, and equipment maintenance in a fast-paced operation. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently, with training provided and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualificações

• Previous experience in cleaning within a commercial kitchen or food service environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP principles.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safe handling in food service settings.
• Ability to operate and maintain commercial kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and impeccable hygiene standards.
• Good physical stamina for bending, lifting and standing.

Responsabilidades

• Perform deep cleaning and sanitization of all kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, refrigeration units, and preparation surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect floors, walls, ceilings, and ventilation systems within food preparation and storage areas.
• Adhere strictly to established food safety and hygiene protocols, including HACCP guidelines.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively, following dilution and application instructions.
• Manage cleaning schedules and ensure all designated areas are cleaned to the required standards daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Empty and clean waste bins and ensure proper waste disposal procedures are followed.
• Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory of cleaning agents and equipment.
• Report any maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or pest activity to the supervisor promptly.
• Wear and maintain appropriate PPE at all times during cleaning operations.
• Contribute to a positive and safety-conscious work environment within the kitchen operations in Paarl.
