Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage fixed assets and project accounting. You will oversee asset transactions, depreciation, capitalization, and capital purchase orders within SAP, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

The role includes supervising the accounts payable for building projects, implementing capital budgets, and driving process improvements while ensuring compliance and risk management across finance operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate finance and fixed asset accounting.
• Proficient in SAP FI/CO and SAP Asset Accounting.
• Knowledge of project accounting and capital expenditure processes.
• Understanding of accounting standards and SARS requirements.
• Ability to communicate across levels and diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise project accounting processes and SAP project system admin for building projects.
• Coordinate accounts payable for building projects and BBBEE compliance.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including assets under construction and asset policies.
• Manage capital purchase order approvals and budget creation in SAP.
• Ensure financial control, reporting, and risk management.
