Job summary

Ovations Technologies in Johannesburg seeks a Senior Financial Officer to drive a 3-month backlog remediation for a banking client, focusing on AuC clearance, WBS review, and audit controls ahead of an S/4HANA rollout.

You will own fixed asset policy drafting, lead asset accounting (FI-AA), PS, and MM-IM processes, and deliver staff training while ensuring compliance and accurate year-end reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Advanced accounting concepts and financial management knowledge.
• Strong SAP FI-AA, PS, MM-IM module proficiency.
• Experience drafting policy and conducting audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset accounting activities, including master data, capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Maintain PS project structures, budgets, line-item settlements, and asset-related closeouts.
• Verify MM-IM records, inventory reconciliations, and goods movements.
• Develop Fixed Asset Policy and provide process improvement recommendations ahead of S/4HANA implementation.
