Job summary

Profile Personnel is seeking a Senior Accountant for a leading healthcare organisation in South Africa. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, stock and fixed asset management, and ensuring compliance with SA accounting standards.

You will operate in the finance team to support operational excellence. You will manage the general ledger, oversee AP/AR, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly management accounts.

Qualifications

• Financial Accounting Degree is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accountant or Senior Accountant role.
• Proficiency in Sage Evolution and/or Sage Intacct.
• Recent stock and fixed asset accounting experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of SA accounting principles, tax regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial accounting.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with operational managers to provide financial support and guidance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
