Job summary

Profile Personnel is seeking a Senior Accountant for a leading healthcare organisation in South Africa. You will manage the general ledger, oversee AP/AR, and prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring compliance with SA standards and tax regulations.

The role requires a Financial Accounting Degree and at least 3 years in a Senior Accountant role, with recent stock and fixed asset experience and proficiency in Sage Evolution and/or Sage Intacct.

Qualifications

• Financial Accounting Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accountant or Senior Accountant role.
• Experience with stock and fixed asset accounting is essential.
• Familiarity with SA accounting principles, tax, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial accounting.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform balance sheet and GL reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with operational managers to provide financial support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
