Job summary

SA Metal in South Africa is looking for a dedicated Fitters Manager to oversee maintenance activities. The role involves managing the Fitters team and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have extensive management experience, a Red Seal Trade Test, and a strong background in mechanical fitting. Benefits include provident fund, medical aid, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years working experience in a similar or heavy industry.
• At least 5 years of proven management experience.
• Must be physically fit and able to work at heights.
• Hydraulic background will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage routine, planned and preventative maintenance programs.
• Monitor the quality and efficiency of the team's work and report issues.
• Manage compliance with in-house maintenance program and procedures.
• Assist employees with fault finding and diagnostics.
