Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Scientist with fintech focus to join a fully remote team. You will develop predictive models, optimize financial products, and uncover insights from complex datasets to drive strategic decisions.

The role emphasizes advanced analytics, ML/AI, and collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders across the organization. A strong quantitative background and 5+ years in data science are required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on financial modeling and machine learning applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and expertise in relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong experience with SQL and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated machine learning models for financial forecasting, fraud detection, and customer behavior analysis.
• Extract, clean, and transform large, complex datasets from various sources.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define data-driven strategies and solutions.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
