Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist focused on finance for a fully remote position. You will leverage advanced analytics, ML, and statistical modeling to derive insights from financial data and support risk modeling, fraud detection, and customer analytics.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in a quantitative field.
4+ years of finance-focused data science experience.
Proficiency in Python or R and libraries like Pandas and Scikit-learn.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL and big data technologies (Spark/Hadoop).
Strong understanding of financial markets and risk management.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models for financial forecasting, risk assessment, and anomaly detection.
Clean, process, and analyze large, complex datasets from various financial sources.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define analytical requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate model performance.
Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences through visualizations and reports.
