Placements24 is seeking a Lead Consultant for its Financial Services practice in Sandton, Gauteng. You will guide major financial institutions through strategic planning, regulatory changes, risk management, and operational improvements, delivering high-impact advisory engagements.

This role demands senior leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage complex projects, mentor junior consultants, and collaborate with regulators and executives to drive growth in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in financial services.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage executive relationships.
• Strong regulatory knowledge including Basel III and IFRS 9.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple client engagements within the financial services sector.
• Provide expert advice on strategic initiatives, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.
• Develop and implement solutions for risk management, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Conduct detailed analysis of client operations, financial performance, and business processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives and regulators.
• Manage project teams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of all project milestones.
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and client relationship management.
• Mentor and develop junior consultants within the financial services team.
