Placements24 is seeking a Senior Consultant specializing in Financial Risk Management to join our Mossel Bay practice. You will lead engagements advising financial institutions on market, credit, operational, and liquidity risks, while developing robust risk frameworks and implementing cutting-edge solutions.

The role requires a Master's degree and 5+ years in risk management, with strong analytical abilities and proficiency in R, Python, or MATLAB.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in financial risk management.
Knowledge of risk types and regulatory frameworks (Basel III/IV, IFRS 9).
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with modeling/data analysis tools.
Experience with risk management software/systems is advantageous.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to lead projects.
Certifications such as FRM/PRM/CFA are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead client engagements on financial risk assessment and management.
Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
Analyze market, credit, operational, and liquidity risks with quantitative and qualitative methods.
Advise on regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
Design and test risk models and run stress testing scenarios.
Guide clients in implementing risk management technologies and systems.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and regulators.
Deliver workshops and training on risk management best practices.
Stay updated on evolving regulations and market trends.
