Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst based in East London, Eastern Cape, with a strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic analysis. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement to balance office collaboration with remote work.

You will develop complex financial models, analyze performance, and prepare reports for senior management while supporting budgeting cycles and KPI monitoring. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative field.
• CFA, CA(SA) or CPA professional certifications are highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or corporate finance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, and modeling.
• Experience with FP&A software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Excellent communication and ability to present data clearly.
• Hybrid work environment with on-site meetings in East London.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key drivers and variances.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management and various business units.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and operational improvements.
• Assist in the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles.
• Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights to improve financial outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and understand business operations.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.
• Stay current with financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry best practices.
